Hasin hemostasis device
Purpose This special custum-made occlusion device allows selective compression of the radial artery. This permits normal flow through the ulnar artery and prevents painful venous edema. This device was found comfortable by the patients.
Description

This device consists of 3 parts:

  1. A U-shaped aluminium frame with a cushioned pad

  2. A wide metal arch with a clip mechanism to close it on one side. This arch has two holes.

  3. Two rotating skrews that fit into the holes on the metal arch

a. One big rotating screw fitted so that it can be manouvered sideways by sliding it millimeter by millimeter, right or left, to accomodate different wrist sizes and the exact location of the radial artery. The screw has a plastic pad and is designed to apply direct pressure over the smaller radial puncture site.

b. The smaller rotating screw is also fitted on the arch and is intended to stabilize the device by applying mild pressure on the ulnar side and thereby prevent circular movements.
